Help Wanted: From graduation to gainful employment is a UWIRE produced blog that will follow recent graduates as they try to find jobs in this tough economy.

The blog’s contributors include:

Amanda Hoffstrom will graduate in May from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in journalism. She’s trying to find work as a reporter or assistant editor for a newspaper, magazine or online publication.

Adam Clair will graduate from Penn State with a degree in journalism. Writing is his strength, but he has worked with a variety of media including video, photo, audio and Web. He’s willing to work for just about anyone who values ambition and creativity.

Alexis Hosier will graduate from Indiana University in May 2009 with a degree in Sport Communication-Broadcast and a minor in Telecommunications. She hopes to become a sports reporter/anchor/producer at a television station.

John Sutton recently graduated from the S.I Newhouse School for Public Communications at Syracuse University with a degree in Newspaper Journalism. He is looking to enter the journalism world as a sports journalist as he spends his summer splitting time between Syracuse and his hometown in New Jersey.
